WISTIA MIGRATION CHECKLIST — 16 September 2026
Manual migration; UC has no automated Wistia importer.

[ ] Inventory media IDs, titles, filenames, website URLs and marketing dependencies.
[ ] Download originals you own or are authorized to move; verify file counts and sizes.
[ ] Save captions by language, thumbnails, metadata and any other required assets.
[ ] Export historical analytics with media IDs and date ranges. They do not import into UC.
[ ] Keep an independent backup and record the old embed HTML.
[ ] Upload one pilot to hot storage and verify sound, duration and picture.
[ ] Recreate settings; test captions, permissions and downloads as the recipient.
[ ] Replace one staging embed; check the published page signed out on phone and desktop.
[ ] Preserve the old account for rollback until the pilot passes.
[ ] Migrate remaining films in batches and check every required website URL.
[ ] Verify replacements for any forms, CRM or marketing dependencies.
[ ] Confirm all files and reports are accessible before cancelling Wistia.
