Your export stays your export. Set up the screening for the people who need to see it, on the devices they actually use.
01 / Your audience
A public reel, a client approval and an unreleased film need different kinds of access.
An unlisted video stays out of your public portfolio. Anyone with its link can still open it; it is not restricted to a named person.
The password is checked before the video page opens. Share it separately from the link and change it when your audience changes.
The download setting controls the original-file link on the video page. Turning it off does not make browser-streamed video impossible to copy.
Expired or revoked invitations cannot obtain new private media URLs. A media URL already issued remains valid until it expires.
A recipient needs an active download grant to receive a review’s final files. Owners and authorized members of their team retain access.
A vaulted video does not play through web watch pages or embeds. Confirm your recipients’ Mac compatibility and access before choosing this workflow.
They control access and the playback paths offered by the service. Media URLs are time-limited, but access already granted is not remotely erased from a device. A downloaded original remains with its recipient; a camera can still film a screen.

We stream the uploaded file. Its codec and bitrate, together with the viewer’s browser and device, determine how smoothly it plays.
Everyday review
For broad browser compatibility, start with an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio. HEVC and AV1 depend more on the browser, operating system and hardware; test a short clip on the recipient’s device.
Export presets and workflowsMasters and native review
A camera original or editing master needs a compatible player and device. Arrange the Mac workflow for vaulted review. Validate a short clip with the recipient before delivering the whole project.
Download the Mac appLet the upload finish, then open the video.
Check picture, sound and seeking on a recipient’s device.
Open the link outside your signed-in session to check access and downloads.
If the review reports a network error, use Retry: the player restores your position and keeps your notes. Open the link in an up-to-date browser, outside an email or messaging app’s built-in window. If the format is unsupported, ask for an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio, or use the native workflow your sender arranged.
The connection needs to carry the file’s bitrate. Try another network and pause to let the video buffer. If it continues, ask for a lighter review export or download the original when your sender allows it.
Decoding also depends on the device. Close demanding background tasks and try the same clip at a lower resolution. Your sender can prepare a suitable review version while keeping the master.
Ask the sender to confirm the link and sharing settings. A review link can grant access to the project, so keep it out of public forums and group conversations.
Check that the transfer finished and compare its exact file size with the sender’s copy. Then open it in a player that supports its codec. Renaming the extension does not convert a video.
