A practical studio workflow

Multilingual Video Approval: Review Each Language Version

Treat each language export as a deliverable with its own text and audio review.

Start here

The practical answer

Treat each language export as a deliverable with its own text and audio review. Approval of the original-language cut does not validate translated subtitles or narration.

An English product film becomes French and Spanish variants. The visuals match, but line breaks, pronunciations and end-card timing differ.

Put it into practice

A three-step working sequence

  1. 01

Assign a fluent reviewer to each language

Write the requirement down before sending the files. Use the project identifiers in the record below.

  2. 02

Check subtitles against the spoken track and picture

Use the real recipient or receiving environment for this check. Record the result against the current version.

  3. 03

Record approval for each exported version

Keep the result with the project handoff. Resolve any mismatch before treating this step as complete.

Worked handoff

A concrete example

Use names such as Launch_FR_V03.mp4 and Launch_FR_V03.srt. Ask the French reviewer to check the exact paired files, especially the product name and final call to action. Repeat for each language rather than copying the approval.

Keep the record

Your project worksheet

Language, voice track, subtitle file, reviewer, export version, approval date.

Use these fields to record your own project. The blank worksheet includes the three steps above, room for results, an owner and a date. It is an editorial template, not an automatic export from the product.

Product fit

Where uncompressed.io fits

uncompressed.io brings playback and timecoded feedback together. Team storage and caption needs can affect plan choice, but the process for resolving scope and factual claims remains yours. A video host does not replace your commercial agreement or specialist quality control.

Make the next step concrete

Test it with one real project.

Check the client handoff, then choose the plan that matches the work you need to deliver.
