A Vimeo original or film is missing
The importer can transfer only files that Vimeo makes available to the connected account. A playable Vimeo video is not proof that its original file is available.
What to do
- Confirm that the connected Vimeo account is the one that owns the film.
- Read the importer’s source label and file size before selecting it.
- If only a Vimeo re-encoded version is offered, decide whether that version is suitable for your purpose.
- If you still have your original export, upload that file directly to preserve that export.
What to expect
You know which file will be transferred and can avoid mistaking a rendition for the original.
Keep in mind
Availability depends on the source account, permissions and source-file retention. There is no supported bypass for a file the account cannot access.
