Leak Shield and piracy protection
Leaked content removal for paid video.
Take the copies down, then close the source.
When a paid film, series or members-only video leaks, removal is two jobs. The first is getting each copy taken down, one host at a time. The second is finding the buyer whose copy it was, so the same leak does not come back next week. Most removal services only do the first.

Short answer
How do you remove leaked videos from the internet?
Send a copyright takedown notice to each site hosting a copy and ask search engines to drop the results, with the exact URL of every copy. Then find whose copy it was and close their access, or the same leak returns. uncompressed.io's Leak Shield does both for films sold through your streaming platform. Protection reduces risk and makes leaks traceable; it cannot guarantee a film never leaks or that every leak can be traced.
- One takedown notice per host, listing every copy
- A separate request to search engines
- Record each URL, date and screenshot first
- Identify whose copy leaked, or it returns
- Some hosts ignore notices; private groups cannot be searched
- Leak Shield finds, names and notifies: USD 99 a month or USD 1,188 a year

The process
Remove a leak in five steps
in the right order
Close the source
Change passwords, pause sales or set the film to private if access is still open. New copies are harder to chase than old ones.
Record every copy
Exact URL, site, date and a screenshot for each. Every notice needs the exact location of the copy.
Notify each host
A notice with the six elements US law lists: signature, work, copy, contact, good faith, accuracy and authority.
Notify search engines
Ask for the results pointing at each copy to be removed, so new viewers stop finding it.
Find whose copy it was
With a per-buyer mark, the copy names the account. Without one, you can only guess from who had access.
The legal elements are explained in full in the DMCA takedown guide. For screeners shared by link, what to do if a screener leaked lists the removal forms of the main video platforms.
Why leaks come back
Removal alone, or removal plus the source
is the difference
Removal only
Copies come down, but the buyer who shared the film still has access to it and to every new release. The next premiere leaks the same way, and you start again.
Removal plus the source
Each buyer's copy carries their own invisible mark. A confirmed sighting names the account, which is blocked and its membership cancelled. That leak does not repeat from that account.
Leak Shield works the second way. It searches the open web and torrent indexes weekly for the first month after release and monthly after. You review each sighting; on confirmation the buyer is identified and blocked, the membership is cancelled, a takedown notice is sent and a PDF case file is kept. It is available on any paid plan for USD 99 a month or USD 1,188 a year, and covers films sold or streamed through your streaming platform. uncompressed.io does not offer DRM.

Questions
Frequently asked
How do I get leaked content removed?
Send a copyright takedown notice to each website hosting a copy, through its designated agent or its own form, and a separate removal request to search engines that list it. Each notice must identify your work and the exact copy. Keep a record of every URL and what you sent.
How long does leaked content removal take?
It depends on the host. US law expects a host that wants its safe harbor to respond expeditiously to a complete notice, but real timing varies, and some hosts are slow or ignore notices. If the uploader files a valid counter-notice under US law, the host restores the copy 10 to 14 business days later unless you file a court action.
Can I remove leaked content from Google?
You can ask Google to remove search results that link to infringing copies, using its copyright removal process. That removes the result from search, not the copy from the site hosting it, so send a notice to the host as well.
Why does my leaked content keep coming back?
Because the person who leaked it still has access. Removing copies treats the symptom. A per-buyer mark identifies whose copy it was, so you can cut off that account.
Do I need a leaked content removal service?
If you sell video and find copies more than once, a service saves time and finds more. Leak Shield on uncompressed.io searches, identifies the buyer and sends notices for USD 99 a month or USD 1,188 a year. For a one-off leak, you can file notices yourself.
Can leaked content be removed everywhere?
Not always. Some hosts ignore notices, and private chats and closed groups cannot be searched. Removal reduces how many people find a copy; it rarely erases every one.
Removal that also closes the source.
Leak Shield finds copies, names the buyer behind each confirmed leak, blocks them and sends the takedown notice. USD 99 a month or USD 1,188 a year, any paid plan. Protection reduces risk and makes leaks traceable; it cannot guarantee a film never leaks or that every leak can be traced.
