The complete decision guide
Professional Video Delivery: A Specifications and Handoff Guide
Separate the file used for online approval from the master required by each destination.

Choose the right starting point
A delivery specification defines what the receiving system needs. It may include codec, wrapper, picture dimensions, audio layout, captions and naming. An online preview is useful for discussing the picture, but it does not validate every production requirement.
Start with the destination and work backward to the export. Give preview and master files distinct names, and maintain a manifest that connects each one to its approval record. Test the actual master in the intended environment rather than relying on a different review copy.
Three aspect ratios, multiple languages
Assumes one approved duration per ratio and language: 3 ratios × number of languages. Additional durations or caption variants add exports. These are illustrative calculations, not measured customer results or plan limits.
Your evaluation
Turn the trial into a decision
Use the guides below to create an acceptance record for the work you do. Mark each requirement as essential, optional or outside the scope of the service. Test the essential items with your own files before moving an active client project.
Keep a written result for both a successful handoff and a failed one. If an important step needs another tool or a manual process, include that work in the comparison. Choose a paid plan when the verified workflow and current allowances fit your workload.

Where uncompressed.io fits
Use uncompressed.io for a compatible review export and the associated client discussion. Browser playback remains dependent on codec, device and connection. Specialized cinema, broadcast, alpha-channel or immersive deliverables need their own receiving-system checks.

Make the next step concrete
Test it with one real project.
Check the client handoff, then choose the plan that matches the work you need to deliver.
