Alternatives
Memberful alternative.
The membership and the video host in one.
Memberful is a well-made membership tool that keeps members on your own domain. Video is where it gets more involved: its website builder hosts video up to 1080p within length and monthly upload limits, and on WordPress it expects you to host video elsewhere and embed it. For a membership that is mostly film, one platform can do both jobs.

Video on Memberful
Two routes, two sets of limits
from its own docs
Memberful handles video differently depending on where your site lives.
Memberful's website builder
You can upload video directly or embed from Vimeo or YouTube. The docs state support up to 1080p, recommend H.264 at 8 Mbps or less, limit video on pages to 30 minutes and in posts to 2 hours, and cap uploads at 20 hours a month. Frame rates outside 5 to 120 fps are adjusted to 30 fps.
WordPress with the plugin
Memberful recommends embedding each video in a WordPress post and protecting the post. The video lives on a separate host, which you set to allow playback only on your domain so non-members cannot find it.
