Uncompressed On Demand is a $39 a month add-on that lets you sell streaming and downloads of your own films from a shop page. Buyers pay on your own payment account, so the money settles with you and we take 0% of any sale. It sells single films; it does not do subscriptions, rentals or TV apps.

Your films live in your hosting plan’s storage like any other upload. The free plan holds one film at a time; paid plans hold more. See the pricing page for plan storage.
Setup
From payment account
to the first sale.
Once the add-on is active, the dashboard walks you through four setup steps, one at a time: connect, bank details, price, share. The first two are ticked by your payment provider, not by you, so a shop cannot open half connected.

Connect your payment account
You sign in to, or create, an account with our payment provider. It is yours: your login, your dashboard, your money.
Add your bank details
The provider asks for your bank account and identity. Until this is done it can accept payments but holds payouts, so finish it before selling.
Pick a film and set prices
Every upload appears as a card. Set a streaming price, a download price, or both, minimum $1. Optionally cut a free preview: choose the length in seconds and the preview is cut as a separate short file. Press Publish.
Share your shop
Your shop lives at yourname.uncompressed.io/on-demand, separate from your portfolio. Put it in your bio, newsletter and emails.
First sale
A buyer pays on your account. The money settles in your balance and pays out to your bank on your schedule. The sale shows in your earnings.

Your films with poster, length, description and the free preview if you cut one. Buttons for streaming and for download, each with its price.
Checkout
A checkout on your payment account. The buyer gives an email address, which is their whole identity with us.
Receipt
An email receipt with a link. The film opens from that link on any device.
The film
Streamed as you exported it, with no re-encode. A download is the file you uploaded. Playback depends on codec, device and connection.

The earnings screen shows sales by day, by month and by film, your top buyers, and the viewing hours counted against the 20,000 included each month. Payouts themselves are in your payment provider’s dashboard, because the money is there, not here.

Each film is sold on its own. For a subscription channel, Vimeo OTT or Uscreen are built for it.
No rentals that expire
A streaming purchase does not time out.
No TV or mobile apps for buyers
Buyers watch in a browser from the receipt link.
No DRM or per-buyer watermark
A download is a plain copy of your file. Price and licence it accordingly.
No coupons, bundles or pre-orders
One price per film per format.
No geo-blocking
The shop does not restrict sales by country.
No tax handling
Sales tax and VAT are yours, because the sale is on your account.
No refunds from us
We never hold the money. Refunds go through your own payment account.
Questions
Frequently asked
Does uncompressed.io take a percentage of my sales?
No. The charge is made on your own payment account and we take 0% at any volume. You pay the $39 monthly add-on, plus your payment provider's card processing fees.
Who handles refunds?
You do, from your own payment account. We cannot refund a sale because the money never passes through us. When you refund, the buyer's access is removed at once.
Does the buyer need an account?
No. They pay, receive a receipt email, and the film opens from the receipt link on any device.
Who collects sales tax or VAT?
You do. The sale is yours, made on your account, so tax obligations are yours as the seller.
Can I sell films I moved from Vimeo On Demand?
Yes, if you hold the rights and the files. Upload your master, price it and publish it to your shop. Vimeo's purchase history and buyer access do not transfer; Vimeo On Demand buyers keep access there until 20 November 2026.
