To move off Vimeo On Demand, download your masters from your Vimeo library, export the opted-in audience CSV from your On Demand page, open a new store, then ask Vimeo Support to tell your buyers where you went. Vimeo does not hand over full buyer lists or move anything for you, so each step is manual. Do it before the platform shuts down on 20 November 2026.

The move
Five steps,
in this order.
1. List your titles
Log in to Vimeo, open your profile menu, choose More, then On Demand pages. Write down every title, its trailer, extras and the price you charged.
2. Download the masters
For each video: open it in your library, open the arrow on the Share button, choose Download and pick the source file if it is listed, else the largest version. Vimeo requires a paid plan for this and has no bulk download. If you have the original export on your own drives, that is the better file to sell.
3. Export the opted-in audience
On the On Demand page, open the Audience tab and export the CSV. It holds only viewers who opted in to updates, so it will be shorter than your sales count. Email only these people about the new store.
4. Set up the new store
Upload the films, set a price per film and open the shop page. On uncompressed.io, sign in to Vimeo once and the library can be imported directly; originals come over only when Vimeo kept them. Then connect your own payment account and turn on the On Demand add-on.
5. Tell past buyers
Send the opted-in list one plain email with the new link. Then contact Vimeo Support with your On Demand URL and the new store link; the seller FAQ says Vimeo will notify your buyers on your behalf. Tell buyers to download any title that allowed downloads before 20 November.

What the new store does, and
what it does not.
Uncompressed On Demand is an add-on, $39 a month, billed separately from the storage plan, with 20,000 viewing hours a month included and 0% of any sale. Each film gets a streaming price, a download price or both, minimum $1, and an optional free preview whose length you pick; the preview is a separate cut, so someone who has not paid never receives the full film. The shop lives at yourname.uncompressed.io/on-demand, and a film for sale is locked everywhere else, including your portfolio, embeds and share links.
Buyers need no account. They pay, get a receipt email and open the film from the receipt link on any device. The money settles in your own payment account and pays out to your bank on your schedule; we never hold it. Refunds are made from your account and remove access at once. Earnings show by day, month, film and top buyer.
It is not a subscription channel. There are no memberships, no rentals that expire, no coupons, no buyer apps for TV, and sales tax or VAT is yours to handle. If those matter, a subscription platform such as Vimeo OTT, which Vimeo recommends, is the better fit; Vimeo’s help center explains adding your existing Vimeo videos to an OTT site without re-uploading. And if you sell a few copies a year, a store that takes a percentage costs less than $39 a month: against a 10% cut, the flat fee only wins above $390 of sales in a month.

Questions
Frequently asked
Can I export my full Vimeo On Demand buyer list?
No. Vimeo's seller FAQ says only viewers who explicitly opted in to receive updates from your page are included in the Audience CSV, and that for privacy reasons Vimeo cannot provide full buyer lists.
Can I download my On Demand videos on a free Vimeo account?
Vimeo's help center says downloading from your library requires a paid plan. If your plan has lapsed, you would need an active paid plan to download.
Will I get the original file or a compressed copy?
It depends. Vimeo keeps source files only on paid plans with the keep source files setting turned on at upload time, and turning it on later does not restore files already removed. Otherwise you get Vimeo's transcoded versions. If you still have the master on your own drives, sell from that.
Can my buyers' purchases carry over to the new store?
No. Vimeo's viewer FAQ says purchased content and entitlements cannot be transferred to other platforms. Whether to offer past buyers a free copy or a discount at the new store is your decision; Uncompressed On Demand has no coupon codes, so you would do it by email.
Sell the film from your own payment account
Uncompressed On Demand is a $39 a month add-on on top of a storage plan. 0% of any sale; your payment provider's card fees still apply.
